Who Uses Guide?
The University of Oregon launched the Guide app on May 1, 2018. The first phase of the app’s roll-out is designed specifically for incoming first-year students, who will download the app during their summer IntroDUCKtion sessions. Action items over the summer include things like submitting final high school transcripts, and registering for campus housing.
All first-year students will be encouraged to use the Guide app during the 2018-19 academic year. The app will send students notifications about the steps they need to take to stay on track for timely graduation, and connect students to campus resources that can help them succeed both in and out of the classroom.
Content supporting students beyond the first year will be added to the app progressively, with the aim of guiding students through their entire undergraduate career – from matriculation to graduation.
